NATOs top envoy for Caucasus and Central Asia will visit Kyrgyzstan February 2 and 3 for talks with top Kyrgyz officials in Bishkek.
The NATO envoy, Robert Simmons, will also introduce a new alliance liaison officer for the Central Asian region, according to a statement issued by the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry on January 30.
"The parties will review plans for the future, and possible areas of cooperation, as well as security issues of international and regional nature including terrorism, border security and emergency preparedness," the press release added.
