Azeri opposition party to hold congress in October

September entitled "PNIA to hold congress" by Gulnaz
The PNIA [Party for National Independence of Azerbaijan] is
preparing its 6th congress to be held on 23rd October. This was
reported by the PNIA deputy chairman for press relations,
Maharram Zulfugarly. He said that the party's political council
had discussed the activity of the committee preparing the
congress at its sitting yesterday.

The congress preparation is proceeding successfully. The
committee on ideological and organizational issues has started
its work. Zulfugarly said that representatives from foreign
right-wing centrist parties would attend the congress.
"Apart from press representatives, members of Azerbaijani
political parties and also representatives of the PNIA's
allies, namely the US Republican Party, British Conservative
Party and Turkey's Ana Vatan Party, will be guests at the
congress."

As for the congress venue, Zulfugarly said that "there are
several options, but the political council has reached no clear
decision yet".
