Baku, Trend correspondent D. Najafov: According to the results
of the first stage of the municipal elections, 22 nominees from
the People's Front of Azerbaijan Party (PFAP) and 29 PFAP
supporters nominated at meetings in their localities in the
country's 28 districts have joined the territorial electoral
commissions.

Alimammad Nuriyev, head of the PFAP campaign headquarters,
told Trend news agency that the protocols for another 36
nominations from the party were not accepted by lots-casting
commissions. The courts refused to examine complaints regarding
illegal refusals to accept protocols in 22 districts.
