CIVIC PARTY WARNED OF BREACHING ELECTION LAW

The pro-government Civic Party got a warning from the CEC
about breaching the election law at a meeting held in Astana on
6th October, Interfax-Kazakhstan news agency reported the same
day. The agency quoted the CEC deputy chairman as saying that
the party had breached paragraph 5 of Article 27 of the law on
elections, under which it is banned from giving out hand-outs
during canvassing.
