EVERY FOURTH RURAL DWELLER READY TO VOTE FOR AGRARIAN
PARTY

An opinion poll carried out in the country's five Regions
by the Almaty association of sociologists and political
scientists suggested that "every fourth resident in rural areas
is ready to cast his vote for" the Agrarian Party of Kazakhstan
on 10th October elections, Interfax-Kazakhstan reported on 5th
October. The association's expert said to a news conference
that the Agrarian Party "is closely competing" with the
pro-presidential Fatherland Party. The poll also showed that
the opposition Communist Party had occupied "the leading
position" in Almaty.
