Text of report by Kazakh Khabar TV on 1st September

[Presenter] The [Kazakh] Central Electoral Commission [CEC]
handed candidates' certificates to one more political party in
Astana today [1st September]. This time the Republican
Political Labour Party is planning to try its luck. They are
hoping for five seats in the Majilis [lower chamber of
parliament]. The number of parties which have received
certificates has reached four, including the Republican
Political Labour Party. Prior to this, the Citizen [Azamat]
Party, the Progress [Orleu] Party of Kazakhstan, the People's
Congress Party of Kazakhstan parties received certificates for
their candidates. The Fatherland [Otan] Republican Party is
expected to receive its certificates tomorrow, as the CEC has
finished checking the party's compliance with the demands of
