Excerpts from report by Kazakh Khabar TV on 13th September
[Presenter] There is less than a month to go until the
parliamentary elections. According to the Central Electoral
Commission [CEC], about 500 representatives both from foreign
states and international organizations will observe the
elections. The CEC chairwoman, Zagipa Baliyeva, presented
accreditation certificates to some of the first observers in
Astana today [13th September]. They were diplomats from
Kyrgyzstan.
[Correspondent, over video of Zagipa Baliyeva presenting a
document to a person] The CEC chairwoman, Zagipa Baliyeva,
presented observer accreditation certificates to the first
secretary of the Kyrgyz Embassy, (?Kuanychbek Bektemirov) today
. In all, three people from this country's embassy will observe
the Kazakh parliamentary elections: the [Kyrgyz] ambassador [to
Kazakhstan], Akbar Ryskulov, and two members of the diplomatic
mission.

[Correspondent] About 500 accredited representatives from
both foreign countries and international organizations will
observe our fifth and, according to Zagipa Baliyeva, most
complicated election campaign. Long-term observers from
Switzerland, the USA and Canada are already working in Astana.
