Kazakh republican party decides to boycott parliamentary elections

Interfax-Kazakhstan on 27th September

Almaty, 27th September. The Republican People's Party of
Kazakhstan (RPPK) has decided to boycott the forthcoming
elections to the parliament's Majlis [lower house] on party
lists on 10th October, the party's Almaty office told
Interfax-Kazakhstan agency on Monday [27th September].
The leadership of the party refused to comment on this
decision saying that a special news conference would be devoted
to this on Tuesday [28th September, presumably].
Nurbulat Masanov, a political scientists, was on top of
the RPPK's party list of five people.
