Resolution of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On the timing of the next elections to representative bodies of state power
and of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan resolves:

In accordance with the decisions of the referendum of the Republic of
Uzbekistan of 27 January 2002 and Article 3 of the constitutional law "On
the results of the referendum and the basic principles for organizing state
power" of 4 April 2002, the timing of the holding of the next elections is
set as follows:

1. [Elections to] the representative bodies of state power [shall be held]
on the first Sunday in the last 10 days of December 2004.

2. [Elections of] the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan [shall be
held] on the first Sunday in the last 10 days of December 2007.
