Azerbaijan: Baku Police Take on the Case of the Missing State

Azerbaijan is missing from globes and officials in Baku are not happy about the omission. Azerbaijani law enforcement officials, sensitive to the government's efforts to promote national pride, have opened an investigation into the matter.

The globes, which feature neither the name of Azerbaijan nor its borders, were offered for sale in an unidentified Baku stationery store, the Day.az news website reported. More than 200 similar globes were also found in a privately run warehouse in the capital. Police officials state that the globes were produced in China, but are investigating further, Azerbaijani news sources reported.
