COMPETITION: INTERNATIONAL FUND FOR DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY

Now in its 14th year, the International Fund for Documentary Photography competition supports emerging documentary photographers whose outstanding ability in visual storytelling leads us to a better understanding of our common humanity.

The Photo Fund continues to provide monetary grants to the Winners, but has evolved to include distribution of the winning essays to a worldwide audience of millions in order to bring about awareness leading to action and positive social change.

FiftyCrows has spent the last year developing a new model for the way the International Fund for Documentary Photography functions. The net results are a streamlined application process, more opportunities for photographers, better collaboration with our strategic partners, and thus, greater effectiveness in achieving the FiftyCrows mission.

FiftyCrows is pleased to announce the first of these new style of Photo Fund competitions. The competition is focused on Central Asia & the Caucasus. There will be two winners from each category:

Category 1
Emerging photographers from one of the following countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan documenting issues in THEIR country.
