Air traffic control operators of the state-run Kyrgyz air navigation company intend to stop servicing US aircraft at the Manas air base [the Ganci air base at the Manas airport] both on the ground and in the air.

This is because they do not receive [money] for their job and air navigation services, the committee of air traffic control operators has said.

A written appeal by the trade union to the US ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Marie Yovanovitch, expresses indignation at the fact that the US side has been failing to pay for their services. The situation should change until 25 July, otherwise the date of stopping servicing the coalition aircraft will be raised at a repeat meeting of the trade union committee of air traffic control operators.

The trade union of air traffic control operators of the Kyrgyz air navigation company also reserves to itself the right to appeal to its Russian, Kazakh, Uzbek and Tajik counterparts, as well as to relevant departments in other countries of the world to show solidarity, the appeal to the US ambassador says.
