Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov is arriving in Tashkent on 26 July on a two-day official visit, a Regnum news agency correspondent has learnt at the Kazakh embassy. As part of the visit, there are plans to sign three bilateral documents, including "A strategy of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan for 2007-15".

Karim Masimov will take part in a session of the interstate coordination council scheduled for 26 July and discuss with his Uzbek colleague, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, economic cooperation between the two states. It is expected that during the visit, Uzbek President Islom Karimov will receive Karim Masimov.

In the second half of the day, 26 July, a presentation about the Development Bank of Kazakhstan joint-stock company will be held in Tashkent.

A national Kazakh cultural centre operates in Tashkent. The centre has over 50 branches in regions and districts. Over 560 Kazakh-language secondary schools function in Uzbekistan.

On the morning of 27 July, the Kazakh prime minister will fly to Samarqand [central Uzbekistan], and after a sightseeing tour in the town, Karim Masimov will leave for his homeland.
