Approximately 5,000 worshipers turned out to pray Friday morning for Orzo Ait (Eid-ul Fitr in Arabic) marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Led by Chief Mufti Chubak-aji Djalilov, the worshipers gathered in Bishkek’s Old Square, flanked by parliament and a statue of Vladimir Lenin. The holiday is one of the most important in the Islamic calendar.
