The Baku Court of Appeals on November 18 decided to release Azerbaijani youth activist and blogger Adnan Hajizade from prison, Azerbaijani media reports. Hajizade had been serving a two-year prison term on charges of hooliganism and violence following the distribution of a satirical video that mocked the Azerbaijani government and its imports of donkeys.
Fellow youth activist Emin Milli, with whom Hajizade worked on the video, is still serving a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence, on the same charges.
