English language university to be established in Turkmenistan
President Berdymukhamedov ordered his subordinates to examine the possibilities of opening a university in Ashgabat, where all the subjects will be taught in English, reported national TV channel Turkmenistan. It is expected that the new university will have departments of international economy, international law, and management.

Turkmenistan Celebrated Rukhnama Day
President Berdymukhamedov made a speech on the Day of Rukhnama, celebrated in Turkmenistan on September 12. “Rukhnama is a literary work which has incorporated five thousand years of our people’s history, pearls of its wisdom, philosophy, mentality, its dreams and aspirations, its unique culture, specific life style, and rich spiritual world. – said the President. This scientific and philosophical work of the third millennium has been translated into many languages, and now millions of people are able to read the historical chronicles of our Fatherland. It helps them to learn about many great states build by our people over the history, about our national culture, traditions, spiritual and moral values, our noble attitude towards all other nations in the world. But the special significance of this book lies in its ability to bring many other peoples with the people of Turkmenistan.” In his address President Berdymukhamedov did not mention the name of Rukhnama’s author, his predecessor, Saparmurat Niyazov.

Head of “Ashgabat” TV Channel Reprimanded
President Berdymukhamedov has severely reprimanded Orazdurdy Hodzhanazarov, Chairman of TV channel Ashgabat of the State Committee for Television, Radio and Cinematography of Turkmenistan for "improper performance of official duties and shortcomings in the work,” and warned him that "he will be relieved of his duties if he fails to correct the shortcomings in the shortest possible time.”

Administration of Food Industry Association Reprimanded
Vegetable oil producing company Akhal of the Food Industry Association in Rukhabat district had a fire. President Berdymukhamedov severely reprimanded the administration of the Association and demanded that the heads of all companies and organizations ensure full observance of the fire safety rules.
