Turkmenistan to construct gas pipeline to industrial centre
A high pressure gas pipeline with a total length of 274 km is being constructed to provide the developing industrial center in Garlik with natural fuel, the Turkmen oil and gas industry and mineral resources ministry reported. Construction work is currently nearing completion. The number of gas distribution stations is expected to increase following the commissioning of the Bagtiyarlik Garlik gas pipeline.

Kazakhstan – Turkmenistan – Iran Railroad Construction Nears Completion
Construction of the “North – South” railway line(Uzen-Gyzylgaya-Bereket-Etrek- Gorgan) is nearing completion. It will connect Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran. Kazakh Chargé d'Affaires to Turkmenistan Mukhamedkali Bakbergenov described this event as historic and said that the transnational North - South corridor will give a powerful impetus to the economic development of the three countries. "The new railway will optimize the route transporting oil products from the Caspian Sea to the Middle East; it will reduce it by more than 600 km and shorten the transportation period by two days compared to the current route," he said.
The diplomat also stressed that Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are actively cooperating in delivering energy resources to the foreign markets - Kazakh oil to the south in the direction of the Persian Gulf and Turkmen gas - to the north in the direction of Russia, Ukraine, Europe, and China.

Deutsche Bank AG to Expand Cooperation with Turkmenistan
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov received Deutsche Bank AG representatives including member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank, Juergen Fitschen and Chief Executive Officer of the Central and Eastern Europe Department of Deutsche Bank AG, Peter Tils. The German bankers confirmed the desire of their bank to continue and enhance long-term cooperation with Turkmenistan.

German Businessmen Discuss Cooperation Possibilities with Turkmenistan
A German delegation, led by chairman of the Turkmen-German forum, Klaus Jürgen Hedrich, visited Ashgabat. The delegation met with members of the National Parliament and representatives of Turkmenistan’s various ministries to discuss prospects of Turkmen – German cooperation. Currently such German companies as Mannesman, Claas, MAN, Bosch, Bentek, Siemens, Unionmatex GmbH, Thyssen Krupp, Airbus, Cifal, Knauf, Goetzpartners, Inhar, Textina, Bauer Comp Holding AG, Lemken GmbH, and others already work in Turkmenistan.

German Bosch Company Presents Know How and Investment Opportunities to Turkmenistan
The German Bosch group of companies presented several projects in Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources reported. Specialists from the departments of the Turkmenneft and Turkmengaz state concerns as well as the Turkmengeology state corporation took part in the event. During the presentation, representatives of Bosch stressed that the company’s investments in the Turkmen oil and gas industry, as well as its advanced technologies, will strengthen mutually beneficial business relations and promote development of Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy sector.

German CLAAS Supplies Agricultural Machinery to Turkmenistan
German CLAAS supplied the first batch of tractors to the Turkmen customers under a contract to supply 500 tractors. Five hundred Axion 850 tractors were ordered by the Turkmenobahyzmat Association that accounts for most of the agricultural machinery in Turkmenistan. The tractors manufacturer - German engineering company CLAAS – is one of the world's leading manufacturers of agricultural equipment.

Turkmenistan to construct railway to Afghanistan
Turkmenistan is preparing to launch the construction of the first link of international railway Atamirat Imamnazar Akina Andkhoy (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan), an initiative that was proposed last year in Ashgabat. The new railway connecting the two neighboring countries is expected to become an important link in international transit and transport on the Eurasian continent.
