Turkmenistan's economic growth averages 11 per cent
Turkmenistan's dynamic economic growth comprising an average of 11%for the last five years, has led to a progressive increase in the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita and is confirmed by World Bank experts, the state news agency Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary reported. According to the report, Turkmenistan's GDP has increased by nearly 3.5 times since 2007 and GDP in purchasing power parity per capita has increased by 1.9. “This year, GDP per capita GDP has exceeded a conventional threshold for the country with middle to high income,” said the report.

Oil production increases at Turkmen western fields
Oil production has increased to 1.7 million tons at the Goturdepe field in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan since early 2012, the Turkmen Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said today. The production rate amounted to 103 per cent.
