Turkmen President: TAPI Project Plays Important Role in Energy Security
Turkmen President Berdymukhamedov stated at a government meeting that the implementation of the transnational Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project is assigned a specific role in the formation of the global energy security architecture. The President also focused on the creation of multiple option system of transporting Turkmen energy resources to world markets, and on the promotion of Turkmenistan's international initiatives in the formation of a new architecture of global energy security.

Azerbaijan Can Build its Section of Transcaspian Pipeline in One Year
Azerbaijan will only benefit from the transportation of gas through the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, the Vice President of Azerbaijani state energy company SOCAR, Elshad Nasirov, said Tuesday at a meeting of the committee on energy security of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. According to Nasirov, implementation of the Trans-Caspian pipeline project will be possible as soon as Turkmenistan and partners from the European Union agree on gas sales.
"Our Caspian fleet is capable of completing construction of 100 kilometers of pipeline across the Caspian Sea in about a year," Nasirov said.

Turkey to Host Turkmenistan's International Investment Forum
According to President Berdymukhamedov's decree, on March 5-6, in Istanbul, Turkmenistan will hold an International Investment Forum, designed to promote trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Turkey, activate business ties with Turkish and other countries’ companies and investors, and attract foreign investment into the Turkmen national economy.
