Ashgabat opened the 7th exhibition of Iranian goods organized by Turkmenistan’s Chamber of Commerce and the Iranian company Pars PegahTejarat. Some 70 Iranian companies producing construction materials, vehicles, textiles, foods, etc., showcased their products during the three-day event.

French Company to Build First Space Communications Satellite for Turkmenistan
Turkmenistan will launch its first space communications satellite in late 2014, reported local media. The satellite is currently under construction by the French firm Thales Alenia Space, which signed a contract with the Turkmen government in late 2011. The launch of the satellite will allow the Central Asian state to build a space communications system in the near future. Thales is also expected to construct a new ground control system, and to ensure the satellite operates effectively for the next 15 years.

Nabucco, TANAP sign Memorandum of Understanding and Co-operation
Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH (NIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Co-operation with the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP), NIC reported on Monday.
According to the statement, in the memorandum the two parties formally agreed to cooperate on the development of the Southern Gas Corridor. The Memorandum states that Nabucco and TANAP will exchange technical and other strategic information and "cooperate in a manner that will support the development of their respective projects."
