President of Turkmenistan receives Chinese Foreign Minister
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi met with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov in Ashgabat to discuss the agenda of the upcoming Turkmen-Chinese talks during the visit of the President of China to Turkmenistan, scheduled for this autumn.

Presidents of Turkmenistan and Moldova Sign Agreements
On July 24 – 25 President Berdymukhamedov travelled to Chisinau to meet with Moldova’s President Nicolae Timofti to discuss cooperation in security, the economy, energy, agriculture, trade, and culture. They signed bilateral agreements, including a memorandum of understanding between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries, a consultation plan between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in 2013-2014, an inter-governmental agreement on cultural cooperation, and a convention on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of income and property tax evasion. The Presidents also signed a joint communiqué.

Turkmenistan-UN Strategic Advisory Board holds meeting
The third meeting of the Turkmenistan-UN Strategic Advisory Board took place at Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry to discuss mechanisms for co-financing projects, concepts for new project for 2013, as well as a date and venue for the next meeting.

Turkmen Oil and Gas Institute Receives International Quality Certificate
The Europe Business Assembly, based in Oxford, England awarded Turkmenistan's State Oil and Gas Institute a “European Quality” certificate and included it in its official register of leading educational institutions.

Most of Turkmenistan's Diplomatic Missions Headed by Special Services Officers
Despite Turkmenistan’s official foreign policy of “neutrality,” Turkmen authorities appoint ambassadors and consuls to Turkmenistan's diplomatic missions and embassies from among the officers of the Ministry of National Security (MNS). Some examples include Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov; the Ambassador to India, Parakhat Durdyyev; the Ambassador to Iran, Ahmet Qurbanov, and others. Also directly involved with the MNS are the Turkmen consuls in Herat (Afghanistan), Ovezov Hodge; in Mazar-i-Sharif (Afghanistan), Kabaev Bazarbai; in Mashhad (Iran), Garadzhaev Serdarmammet; in Istanbul (Turkey), Charyev Oraz; and in Astrakhan (Russia), Mekan Ishangulyev. The staff within Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry, likewise, includes a number of positions occupied by MNS officers. There are credible reports that Deputy Minister Vepa Hajiyevis is also one of them.

International Health Exhibition Opened in Turkmenistan
Ashgabat hosted the international conference and exhibition “Saglyk-2013” (Health-2013) dedicated to the Day of Health Workers in Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan’s Health Ministry and Chamber of Commerce organized the event, which gathered participants from more than 46 countries, including Germany, Great Britain, Russia, Ukraine, India, China, and the US.
