Chinese Delegation Holds Talks at Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry
China sent a delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Development and Reform and Head of the State Office for Energy, Wu Sinsun, and Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping, to Ashgabat to hold talks at Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss priority areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and China, primarily in the trade, economic, and energy sectors.

President of Turkmenistan attends inauguration ceremony of new president of Iran
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov visited Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony for Hassan Rouhani, the new President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Following the ceremony, Berdymukhamedov met with Rouhani to congratulate him personally on his election victory and confirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to the long-term dialogue, friendship, and mutually beneficial cooperation with neighboring Iran.

Turkmenistan and Republic of Serbia Hold Political Consultations in Belgrade
Belgrade hosted Turkmen-Serbian political consultations covering a wide range of bilateral issues.
The delegations of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Serbia exchanged views on the development of inter-parliamentary ties and the establishment of a regular mechanism for political consultations.
The parties also discussed cooperation in trade and the economic sphere, including through the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries.

Turkmen-Russian Economic Forum Wraps Up in Belgorod
The Russian city of Belgorod hosted the IV Turkmen-Russian Economic Forum organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
Business representatives of the Belgorod region noted that Russia is ready to share the latest scientific and industrial solutions with Turkmen partners, as the introduction of advanced technologies is one of the priorities of Turkmen development. The Forum focused on finding effective forms of business partnership and expanding areas of cooperation for the more effective use of the economic and intellectual capacities of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.

Investigating and Prosecuting Human Trafficking in Focus of OSCE Training in Turkmenistan
Investigating and prosecuting human trafficking crimes was the focus of an OSCE-organized training course that concluded in Ashgabat on July 24.
Some 20 judges, representatives of law enforcement bodies and defense lawyers from Turkmenistan participated in the two-day course. It aimed to upgrade the participants’ skills to interview victims of human trafficking while protecting their rights and refraining from traumatizing the victims again.

OSCE raises awareness of women’s rights with law enforcement officials in Turkmenistan
Some 25 officials of Turkmenistan’s law enforcement institutions participated in an OSCE-organized seminar on women’s rights and gender issues in Ashgabat on July 25.The event, which was hosted by international and OSCE experts, emphasized women’s security issues, including migration, violence against women and domestic violence, as well as mechanisms to address women’s security needs. Participants were also informed of international treaties and other instruments covering these questions, as well as OSCE commitments for the promotion of gender equality.“ Gender equality is essential to ensure security and stability in society, and we believe that this seminar is an excellent platform for the exchange of experiences in addressing women’s security in different OSCE participating States,” said Ambassador Ivo Petrov, Head of the OSCE Centre.
