New Five Star Hotel and Other Buildings Inaugurated in Turkmenistan
President Berdymukhamedov presided over a ceremony to open a new five-star hotel, "Yildiz" (Star), as well as administrative buildings for the Ministry of Railway Transport, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Justice, State Customs Service, Ministry of Industry, and the Ministry of Road Transport. The five-star hotel "Yildiz" was built and equipped by the French company Bouygues and commissioned by Turkmenistan’s presidential administration. About seven tons of steel and more than 14,000 square meters of glass were used in building this hotel to create an unusual teardrop-shaped skyscraper. After inspecting the new buildings President Berdymukhamedov met with the head of Bouygues, Martin Bouygues, to discuss further construction projects.
