Armenian privatization revenue tops 4m dollars in 2001 - minister
Text of report by Armenian news agency Arminfo
Yerevan, 20 June: Armenia's budget received about 4.3m dollars from
privatization of state property in 2001, State Property Minister David
Vardanyan told journalists, commenting on the parliament's approval of the
government's report on the performance of the 2001-2003 privatization
programme.
Vardanyan said that 3.6m dollars had gone into the treasury from
privatization of enterprises, about 30,000 dollars from sale of unfinished
buildings and about 700 [as received, presumably 700,000 intended] dollars
from sale of small facilities. Over the year only 80 enterprises were
privatized.
