DEMONSTRATORS AGAIN DEMAND ANNULMENT OF ARMENIAN ELECTION
Several thousand supporters of defeated Armenian presidential candidate Stepan Demirchian staged a further demonstration in Yerevan on 15 April to demand that the Constitutional Court annul the outcome of the February-March presidential election in which, according to official returns, incumbent Robert Kocharian defeated Demirchian in a runoff, RFE/RL's Armenian Service reported. The Constitutional Court is to rule on 16 April on an appeal by Demirchian that it invalidate the elections in the light of alleged procedural and constitutional violations (see "RFE/RL Newsline," 8 April 2003).
