Azeri Defence Ministry denies Transparency International's corruption
report
Text of Zabil report by Azerbaijani newspaper Yeni Musavat on 4 February
entitled "The Defence Ministry is the most corrupt agency in Azerbaijan.
International organization has reached this conclusion after monitoring"
Articles in Yeni Musavat newspaper about rampant corruption in the
Azerbaijani military have been confirmed again. Transparency
International published reports based on its monitoring of state bodies
in Azerbaijan. It turns out that the Defence Ministry is the most
corrupt. Transparency International branded the Defence Ministry as "the
most corrupt agency in Azerbaijan". Ramiz Malikov, head of the
ministry's press service, said the report did not reflect the truth.
