U.S. to supply Georgia with 10 military transport helicopters

TBILISI. Sept 8 (Interfax) - The United States has promised to
supply Georgia with 10 military transport helicopters and is due to
deliver them to the former Soviet republic on Wednesday.
The so-called helicopter project, which also involves having 33
Georgian pilots and technicians trained in the United States, was
approved by the two countries nearly two years ago, the Georgian
Defense Ministry told Interfax.
The United States has undertaken the entire funding of the $15
million project.
