KAZAKHSTAN BUDGET SURPLUS 3.1% OF GDP IN Q1
ALMATY. May 15 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Kazakhstan had a
consolidated budget surplus of 15.2 billion tenge in the first quarter
of this year (141.9 tenge/$1 at the beginning of April), or 3.1% of GDP,
the National Statistics Agency told Interfax.
Budget revenues totaled 117.7 billion tenge in the quarter, up
54.2% year-on-year but 1.5% below the target. Spending, including
lending, rose 63.4% to 102.4 billion tenge, or 22.1% less than planned
for the quarter.
