KAZAKH, CHINESE NUCLEAR BODIES SIGN PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
Kazatomprom, Kazakhstan's state-owned nuclear company, and China
National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) signed a long-term strategic
partnership agreement in Beijing on 6 November, Interfax-Kazakhstan
reported on 8 November. Kazatomprom, which handles Kazakhstan's uranium
production and exports, stated in an 8 November press release: "The
establishment of a strategic partnership between Kazatomprom and CNNC
will help to unite the strongest arms of the industrial nuclear fuel
cycle systems of Kazakhstan and China." The agreement will be signed by
the two countries' heads of state in the near future, the press release
