We are pleased to announce that after a four months break due to an arson fire in our office Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law is renewing publication of electronic newsletter "Human Rights in Kazakhstan and All Over the World".

From now on this newsletter will be distributed once a week in Russian and English versions.

The English version will mainly provide information on human rights and democratic developments in Kazakhstan.

Russian version will also contain reports on human rights situation in other countries of Central Asia based on reports from various international human rights organizations and other sources.

Together with Institute on War and Peace Reporting we also plan a quarterly publication of compilation of the reports from our newsletter.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL BUREAU FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND RULE OF LAW

Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law reregistered March 4, 1997 is a legal successor to Kazakhstan-American Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law registered February 8, 1995 with status of international non-governmental public association.

After reorganization and re-registration Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law is an international non-governmental and non-profit organization founded by nine citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and one citizen of United States.

Among principal goals of the organization are: creation of the human rights network, monitoring and distribution of information on human rights violations; influencing public opinion and government in order to resolve concrete problems in respect to human rights issues; education of population in the field of international standards, mechanisms and procedures of observance of human rights and freedoms; protection of rights of individuals, groups and organizations.
