National Committee on administration of national property and attracting of direct
investments (NCP) went to the court with action for declaration about aspersion and
defend of its business reputation to the newspaper "Moya stolisa" (My capital).

NCP went to the Pervomay district court with its action of declaration about
aspersion and defend of its business reputation against newspaper "Moya stolisa".
According to press service of NCP, the reason for action of declaration was an
article in the newspaper "Moya stolisa" about skiing lodge "Norus" and plant V.
Lenin (ZIL). Gennadiy Kuzmin in his article says that these objects are given to
private hands, despite the fact that they are national property. Author also
described how the family of President Akaev owns national properties. In
particular this article was about his brother-in-law Adil Toygonbaev. The name of
the article was "Family went to the mountains and family found money", it described
how skiing lodge "Norus" and plant "Zil" became property of President's family.
This material was published on November 22. Newspaper "Moya stolisa" has published
articles about family corruption of President Akaev before too. For instance,
profit of alcohol production in our republic, which is headed by the President's
assistant Januzakov B, goes to the pocket of President's brother-in-law Toygonbaev.
Another one is how President's family gets income through firm "Aalam Service",
which is owned by his brother-in-law and his son. This firm provides oil products
to the US military in "Manas" airport. It is clear who is writing action of
declaration with the name of NCP in order to suppress newspaper. President is
behind these all; he is just covering himself with NCP. He did the same things
towards newspaper "Respublica", when ex-head of National TV and ex-head of
Administration of President Karypkulov, the head of National Company "Kyrgyzaltyn"
(Kyrgyz gold) Sarygulov and famous Eliseev A. lodged suits against "Respublica".

Akaev is annoyed by newspaper "Moya stolisa" with its true and objective materials
concerning Aksy events, arrests of demonstrators. Before this publishing company
"Uchkun", where this newspaper is published, fought with "Moya stolisa" but now it
seems NCP's turn.

President and his family persecute chief editor of this newspaper A.Kim since 1999.
In 1999 they took away Kim's most popular newspaper "Vechernyi Bishkek". At that
time Ministry of Interior laid siege at the editorial office of newspaper in order
to arrest Kim. Then they started their endless investigations and searches.

Everyone, who lodges a suit against independent newspapers, is confident because
all courts are depend on Akaev. Akaev declares that judicial system in Kyrgyzstan
is independent but it is just good cover for Akaev.

Sincerely,

Ramazan Dyryldaev
