KAZAKHSTAN'S INTERIOR TROOPS PUT ON HIGH ALERT. Interior
Minister Kairbek Suleymenov said on 19 September that
there are currently no grounds for trying to locate
insurgents in southern Kazakhstan, Interfax reported.
But he added that interior troops there have been put on
high alert and their numbers increased. PG
