centre on 3rd October that the session had eight issues on its agenda.
The deputies took positive decisions on most of them.
[Passage omitted: the deputies approved resolutions on changes in the
composition of some of their committees]
They also endorsed a number of draft laws, including on amendments and
addenda to the law on defence, on amendments and addenda to the law on the
armed forces and on transport.
Discussing a draft law on competition and restricting monopolistic
activities on the commodities market, the deputies decided to set up
commissions to thoroughly study the issue and report to the next session of
the Assembly of Representatives. A similar decision was taken on a draft
law on power engineering.
At the end of the sitting the deputies considered and approved a plan of
legislative work for the last quarter of the year 2000.
The lower house will continue the session tomorrow, 4th October.
