TURKMENISTAN LEADER SAID TO BE IN GOOD HEALTH
German ncardiologist Hans Meissner examined President Saparmurat Niyazov and
announced that he is good health, Turkmen television reported on 2
April. Meissner was the doctor who performed heart bypass surgery on
Niyazov in 1997 and has conducted regular examinations of the Turkmen
leader since that time. PG
