UZBEK, LITHUANIAN BUSINESSMEN SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENT
Manufacturers from Uzbekistan and Lithuania have signed a
cooperation agreement in Tashkent, "Nezavisimaya gazeta"
reported on 17 August. The Lithuanian delegation suggested
that Uzbekistan make greater use of the port of Klaipeda and
proposed setting up joint ventures in the textile, food, and
chemical sectors. LF
