Several thousand people gathered throughout the day in Istanbul to protest against Israel's deadly raid on ships bound for Gaza on May 31. Waving Palestinian flags, bearing green headbands and chanting against Israel, protesters demonstrated in Taksim Square and near the Israeli consulate.
