UK companies to supply special equipment for construction of railways in Turkmenistan
Companies from the UK will supply special vehicles for railway maintenance in Turkmenistan. According to President Berdymukhamedov’s decree, the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan is authorized to purchase equipment from Wellsford LLP and Stock Plaza LLP.
Following a French delegation that came to the country last week, the Deputy Administrator of the UK Foreign Office Eastern Europe and Central Asia Group, Beth Dyson, visited Turkmenistan this week to discuss cooperation with Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry.

President Berdymukhamedov severely reprimanded the Chairman of Turkmenistan's State Committee of Sports, Batyr Orazov, for “improper performance of official duties, poor management of entrusted institutions, and lack of control over the use of sports facilities.”
Ashgabat opened the 7th exhibition of Iranian goods organized by Turkmenistan’s Chamber of Commerce and the Iranian company Pars PegahTejarat. Some 70 Iranian companies producing construction materials, vehicles, textiles, foods, etc., showcased their products during the three-day event.
